Policy to avoid counterfeit components
Counterfeit components is a growing concern. It is essential for our performance and reputation that Dolphins high quality products are manufactured using only the highest quality parts from original or authorized suppliers. Dolphin is committed to our customers to avoid using counterfeit parts, and all our suppliers and manufacturers are required to have an approved quality program to prevent counterfeit components entering the supply chain.
Policy on sustainable materials sourcing
Dolphin is committed to sustainable sourcing through environmental and social justice. Through this commitment, our company has adopted the principles of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) Code of Conduct. We are fully committed to ensuring that the “conflict minerals” in our products do not directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups that are perpetrators of human rights abuses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or any adjoining country. This policy applies to all suppliers and subcontractors.
As part of this commitment, Dolphin will exercise due diligence on all its suppliers in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk areas. In particular, we have required our contract manufacturer to implement a monitoring and reporting system for environmental impact and conflict minerals in our products. Dolphin does not source any minerals directly as part of our products, but does source electronics components from wide range of companies. We therefore have a commitment to drive accountability and ensure appropriate due diligence within our suppliers.
Under this policy, Dolphin requires all its suppliers to:
- Conduct their business in conformance with the EICC Code of Conduct requirements.
- Exclusively source from smelters or refineries that have been independently audited and approved as “conflict-free” by the Conflict-Free Smelter Program.
- Exercise due diligence on their supply chains in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance and the EICC Code of Conduct.
- Comply with Section 1502 of the Dodd/Frank Wall Street Recovery Act.
